About us
Fine detail, done properly
Mionlach Roofing & Leadworx is a roofing and leadwork company based in Bedgrove, Aylesbury, with more than 40 years in the trade behind it.
The name
Mionlach comes from the Gaelic for fine detail and fine workmanship. It describes how we work: the details are where roofs fail, so they're where we spend our time. Our motto is built to outlast the builder.
How we work
Every enquiry gets a fully detailed inspection, regardless of the size of the job. We photograph what we find, explain what needs doing now and what can safely wait, then put the quote in writing. If your roof doesn't need work, we'll tell you.
On site we keep you updated with photos, keep the roof and the site tidy and come back to finish any snagging. Customers often mention Damien, Martin and Sam by name in their reviews.
Leadwork in house
Many roofing firms subcontract their lead or avoid it. We boss, weld and dress lead ourselves. A fair share of our leadwork comes from other roofers who reach the lead and call Mionlach.
Vetted and accredited
Checked by people who know roofing
Anyone can call themselves a roofer. Mionlach has been vetted by two trade bodies that inspect the work itself, not just the paperwork.
Specialist Contractor
Association of Master Roofers
A not-for-profit body set up by roofing professionals. Its vetting officers inspect a roofer's work on site and talk it through with them, then check insurance, health and safety policies and the health of the business. Each roofing discipline is vetted separately.
Accredited member
The Guild of Master Craftsmen
The Guild carries out up to 28 checks on every business that applies, including spot checks on its work, references from past customers and reviews. Members agree to its Code of Practice and are monitored to make sure they keep to it. If a dispute ever arises, the Guild offers a free conciliation service.
Roofer of the Year 2025
On The Tools Awards
Named Roofer of the Year at the 2025 On The Tools Awards, national awards for tradespeople across UK construction.
We carry full public liability insurance and are happy to provide the certificate on request.
