The specialism

The leadwork specialists other roofers call

Leadwork is a craft, not a sideline. We boss, weld and dress lead by hand in house. A fair share of our leadwork comes from other trades: roofers who reach the lead and call Mionlach.

  • FlashingStep, cover and apron flashings where a roof meets a wall, a dormer or an extension.
  • ValleysLead valleys and gutters lined, lapped and fixed so they can move without tearing.
  • ChimneysAprons, soakers, steps and back gutters: the junction most roofs leak from.
  • HeritageBay roofs, dormers and church work, matched like for like on period and listed buildings.
  • CraftBossed, welded and dressed by hand in house. Never subcontracted, never sealant.

10/10 for my stunning new slate roof. Would highly recommend Damien and his team (Martin) they were professional, knowledgable and delivered a high standard of work. From the initial quote to the finished job communication was fantastic, when the job was completed they were back to finish any snagging and were very respectful of our property. If you’re considering getting a new roof you must speak to Damien first!

Questions we're asked most

Anything else, call Damien on 07803 473995 or send us a photo on WhatsApp.

Do you charge for roof inspections?

No. Every enquiry receives a free, fully detailed roof inspection regardless of the size of the job. We photograph what we find so you can see the problem yourself, explain what needs doing now and what can safely wait, then give you a written quote. If your roof does not need work, we will tell you that too.

Do you do small repairs or only big jobs?

Both. We treat a single slipped tile with the same care as a full reroof. Small repairs done properly are how most of our customers first find us.

Are you leadwork specialists?

Yes. Leadwork is our specialism, from flashing and valleys to lead burning and heritage restoration. It is in our name for a reason.

Which areas do you cover?

We are based in Bedgrove, Aylesbury and cover the town plus surrounding areas including Wendover, Thame, Tring, Haddenham and Princes Risborough. For reroofs, heritage and church leadwork we travel across Buckinghamshire and neighbouring counties.

How much does a roof repair cost?

Every roof is priced individually, because cost depends on what is actually wrong, how accessible the roof is and which materials it needs. A single slipped tile and a failed lead valley are very different jobs, so we do not publish a flat rate that would be wrong for most people. Instead you get a free detailed inspection and a clear written quote before any work starts, with no obligation to proceed.

Do you offer emergency callouts?

Yes. We prioritise them. If you have storm damage or a sudden leak, call 07803 473995 and we will make the roof safe as quickly as we can, then follow up with a proper repair plan and clear pricing. You can also WhatsApp us a photo of the problem for a fast initial assessment, usually the same day.

Should I repair my roof or replace it?

Usually it can be repaired. We will tell you honestly which side of that line your roof sits on. If a repair buys you another ten years, we say so. If the roof is at the end of its life and repairs are throwing good money after bad, we say that too. We show you the photographs that prove it rather than asking you to take our word for it.

Why does my chimney keep leaking after it has been repaired?

Nine times out of ten the cause is failed lead rather than brickwork, with sealant painted over it as a shortcut. Sealant buys about eighteen months. Lead expands and contracts every day, so it must be correctly coded, dressed and fixed to allow that movement. Rebuild the lead detail properly and the repair lasts decades. This is the repair we are most often called in to redo.

Do you guarantee your work?

Yes. Our workmanship is guaranteed and the materials we fit carry their own manufacturer warranties. We also come back to finish any snagging, which our customers regularly mention in their reviews. You will get the guarantee terms in writing with your quote, before you commit to anything.

Are you insured?

Yes. We carry full public liability insurance and we are happy to provide the certificate on request. We are also accredited by the Guild of Master Craftsmen and hold Association of Master Roofers Specialist Contractor status. We were named On The Tools Roofer of the Year 2025.
